Emerging from the underground sounds of electronic music, this “DJ’s DJ” is making an impact on dance floors worldwide. With his energy driven LIVE sets, to his use of tricks and FX, the visual display is a sight to see. His unique style of mixing enables this veteran DJ to weave in and out of tracks, creating musical masterpieces. As resident to some of the top event producers in the US, Latin America and Europe, DJ IDeaL is able to proliferate his message to the masses around the world. DJ IDeaL has become a familiar name in dance music on a global scale.
IDeaL kicked off a wonderful 2013, dominating the Southern California terrestrial airwaves on Z90.3 every Friday on ZDM with host Tristan D, along with his weekly podcast IDeaL Sounds. In addition to performing at Ultra Music Festival for the past decade, he was a featured headliner at San Diego Pride Festival and Life In Color (DAYGLOW) at the Valley View Casino Arena to over eight thousand adoring fans. Besides performing at sold out festivals around North America, IDeaL held monthly residencies at Avalon, FLUXX, Voyeur, Stingaree and a weekly event at the Ivy. IDeaL was added to the exclusive list of artists to perform at the prestigious High Times Magazine Medicinal Cup of 2013, opening for guest speaker, Tommy Chong. While on tour in Central & South America, he spread his love through music throughout Colombia, Dominican Republic and Mexico. IDeaL spent the summer performing in Ibiza at the prestigious Eden, Play2 & Pukka Up Boat Party.
When he’s not on the road, IDeaL collaborates in the studio with music partner, J-Break, whose recent productions have been signed to Grammy Nominated label, Black Hole Recordings, along side House legend, Eddie Amador. “I Need You”, featuring Tom Napack of Vanity Police and formerly of Dangerous Muse, was featured on Paul Oakenfold's "We Are Planet Perfecto Vol 3: Vegas to Ibiza" as well as Black Hole Recordings compilations "Take Me To Vegas", "Progressive House Ibiza Anthems 2013", "Black Hole Radio May 2013", "Black Hole Recordings April Selection 2013", "Late Night Beats Vol. 2" and "Ibiza House Summer 2013". The duo remixed former Pussycat Dolls singer, Jessica Sutta "Again", which peaked at #4 on the Billboard Hot Dance Club Songs chart. Other major label remixes followed including artists such as David A. Stewart (Eurythmics), Dale Earnhardt Jr. Jr., and Nuthin Under A Million.
2012 proved to be a fulfilling year with notable billings alongside some of the industry’s top talent including arena performances for opening for artists like Chuckie at the fabulous Avalon Hollywood for "AVALAND", Kevin Hart, MOLOTOV in Tijuana Mexico, and Paul Oakenfold at San Diego's top EDM club FLUXX. IDeaL performed at Ultra Music Festival as well as San Diego Pride Festival alongside production partner J-Break. He also appeared in live performances alongside JES, and WMC shows including Erika Jayne's Billboard showcase, and the Madonna MDNA release party. Closing out 2012's last quarter landed gigs in Hawaii, for Pepsi, Hard Rock, W Hotel and an opening set for TIESTO & Tommy Trash at Valley View Casino Arena in San Diego.
In the studio IDeaL & J-Break were hard at work on their artist album and EP's as well as taking on more remix jobs. Since their first track signing with Orlando Puerta & Eddie Amador at Citrusonic LA out of Hollywood (http://www.citrusonic.net/management-labelartist), IDeaL & J-Break have remixed tracks for Carmen Electra (reached #43 on Billboard Club Charts), Five Knives (reached #9 on Billboard Club Play charts), Gia (reached #4 on Billboard Club Play Charts), Kerli, Adam Lambert, Mickey Avalon, Chew Fu, Kimberly Cole w/Eddie Amador (reached #16 on Billboard Play charts), and a remix for Eddie and Automatic Panic "Morning After" - all receiving great reviews all over Europe and the Americas including Mark Knight, Steve Aoki and Judge Jules plus more. Additionally they've had unreleased remixes played on BT's & Oakenfold’s mix shows plus have been featured on UMF Radio numerous times – DJ IDeaL also hosted UMF Radio on XM & Sirius from late 2010-2011. In addition, the Tristan D & DJ IDeaL project has kicked off 2014 with an original release on the mighty Vandit Records selected by Paul Van Dyk which reached #74 on the Beatport top 100 charts during Ultra/WMC 2014 and went on to win track of the month as selected by the listeners and supporters through Vandit Records, licensed to the Vandit Records 2014 Miami compilation and received support from Above & Beyond, Roger Shah, ClubPlanet.com, DIGI10VE and more! Following the Beatport charter, he was also brought on to be part of the DJ MAG.ca family as a correspondent including coverage of the best in dance music festivals, nightlife and music artists plus labels!
His performances have reached new heights while sharing the stage with the likes of TIESTO, Deorro, Morgan Page, Dirty South, Paul Oakenfold, Mark Knight, Sander Kleinenberg, Eddie Amador, Harry Choo-Choo Romero, Beltek, Moguai, Judge Jules, Alex Kenji, Donald Glaude, Morgan Page, Erick Morillo, Chuckie, DVBBS, Showtek, LA Riots, Swanky Tunes, Marcus Schossow, Sharam, Robbie Rivera, Hot Mouth, Bob Sinclar & The Crystal Method and many more. His tracks and collaborations have been played by The Crystal Method, Paul Oakenfold, BT, Donald Glaude, Manuel de La Mare & more with no sign of slowing down and quality of artistic appeal only growing.
Keeping busy outside of the studio, IDeaL has recently accepted the role in an EDM film presently being produced in Southern California, has also been brought on as Associate Producer of the film and will be advising with scoring and musical selection. Jagermeister Music pushes strong with IDeaL as their first dance music artist, now with the brand for 5 years.
This year will be another exciting one for the Mexican Born DJ / Producer. With a continued residency at DJMAG top club, Avalon in Hollywood and Judgement in Ibiza, new Major Label originals on Vandit Records & Serious World Records, remixes on Warner Brothers & Redbull Records, a worldwide tour plus his own radio show, IDeaL’s star is shining bright, and 2014 looks to be the brightest yet with more to come.
